Hark Pro App: Download, Setup and Tour (iPhone, Android and Web)

The Hark Pro app is free on iPhone, Android and the web, and it puts Brett Adcock’s proactive AI assistant in your pocket: it reads your inbox, suggests what to do next and handles tasks like bookings and bills. I set it up on launch day in the video below. This guide covers downloading the app, setting it up, a tour of every screen, and tips for using it on your phone.

Key takeaways

  • The Hark Pro app is free on iOS, Android and the web.
  • Setup takes minutes: sign up, connect email, answer one question.
  • Your account syncs across phone and computer.
  • Search for Hark Pro — not the unrelated Hark Audio app.

How to download the Hark Pro app

  • iPhone: open the App Store and search “Hark Pro” — check the developer is Hark.
  • Android: open Google Play and search “Hark Pro”.
  • Computer: use the web version from Hark’s website.
  • Can’t find it? Hark hasn’t published a full list of countries, so it may not be in every region’s store yet — the web version is the fallback.

There’s an unrelated app called Hark Audio on the App Store. Make sure you install Hark Pro.

Setting up the Hark Pro app

  • Sign up and add your basic details.
  • Connect your email — Hark recommends this first, and it powers the proactive suggestions.
  • Answer its first question: what’s one thing on your plate this week it could take off you?
  • Connect more apps when you’re ready — Slack, Notion, Amazon, PayPal and more.

In my test it was the smoothest onboarding of any AI agent I’ve tried — easier than Grok.

A tour of the Hark Pro app

AreaWhat you do there
ChatAsk Hark to do something, attach files, or use voice input
HomeYour spaces, panels and action buttons — including paying bills
PanelsMini-apps you create by describing them
ProjectsLong-running threads with their own files
Scheduled tasksSee and manage recurring jobs
IntegrationsConnect Gmail, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, Notion, Amazon, PayPal and more

When you ask it to do something on the web, Hark uses Handoff — it opens a dedicated cloud computer for the task and does the clicking, and you can watch it work in a small window.

Using the Hark Pro app on your phone

  • Start your morning with “prep my day” — it checks your calendar and inbox.
  • Use voice input on the go — it doesn’t talk back yet, but it listens.
  • Approve suggestions with a tap as they come in from your inbox.
  • Check scheduled tasks to see what’s running.
  • Say stop if it starts something you didn’t intend.

Hark Pro app vs the web version

They’re the same account and the same assistant, so use whichever is in front of you. I use the web version for setting up panels and Projects, where a bigger screen helps, and the phone app for quick requests, approvals and my morning briefing.

Hark Pro app privacy settings

The app works best with deep access to your email, calendar and accounts, and Handoff signs in to sites on a cloud computer. Connect accounts gradually, read Hark’s privacy policy, and approve payments yourself.

Hark Pro app tips from my first week

Keep notifications on for the first few days so you see the suggestions Hark pulls from your inbox — that’s where most of the value comes from. Create one panel for something you check every day, like packages or your calendar, so the Home screen becomes genuinely useful. And use Projects for anything that spans several days, like planning a trip, so everything stays in one thread with its files.

If a task is taking a while, let it run — Handoff is driving a real browser, which takes time. Use the time to do something else and come back to the result.

Who the Hark Pro app is for

It’s best for busy people drowning in small personal admin: email follow-ups, bookings, bills, reminders and planning. If you want an agent for business automation, a customisable agent like Hermes is a better fit — but plenty of people will run both, with Hark on their phone for life admin.

Is the Hark Pro app worth downloading?

Yes — it’s free, the setup is quick, and it’s genuinely proactive. It can be slower than doing some tasks yourself, and it can’t make phone calls yet, so read my Hark Pro review for the full verdict and my Hark Pro guide for plans and features. Download the Hark Pro app, connect your email and give it one real task this week.

A final tip: give the app a week before you judge it. The first day is mostly setup, but by the end of the week Hark has seen enough of your inbox and calendar to make genuinely useful suggestions. That’s when the proactive side really shows its value, and when you’ll know whether it deserves a permanent spot on your home screen. It’s free, so the only cost of trying it is a few minutes of setup.

If you’re outside the US and can’t find the app yet, sign in on the web version for now: it’s the same assistant, and your account will be ready when the app reaches your country’s store. I’ll update this guide as Hark confirms more regions and adds features like phone calls and voice replies.
